Monkeys Navigate a Wheelchair With Their Thoughts Summary

Scientists from Duke Unifersity made a BMI that can read monkeys brain. With this, the monkey can move the wheelchair around with only thinking about it. Brain sends signals to this BMi machine. The BMI reads this thoughs and powers the motors of the machine to move.  Scientists have been doing demonstrations on primates using their brain signals since 1999 when two scientists did a similar study but on rats. Monkeys had a hard time trying to get the wheelchair to navigateas they wanted. As time went, monkeys were getting used to this. Monkey where implanted about 300 neurons, which they were only two monkeys.

Drones recognise and follow forest trails in search of lost people (Summary)

This Article is about a group of swiss researchers that thought drones to recognize and follow forest trails. This drones can help find people that are hurt or lost in the woods that cant find themselves out of them. Nearly 1000 emergency calls are received every year due to getting lost in the woods and forests. These swiss researchers created a quadrocopter that can recognize forest trails. These drones have cameras similar to the ones used by our smart phone. These cameras detect and recognize man-made trails. Drones where taken out in the wild and to the trails. More than twenty thousand pictures were taken by these drones. when the drones where tested, the results where that they correctly identified 85 percent of the trails they were at.  There is still a lot of work that needs to be added to these drones. These drones one day might be able to save humans lives.

Military Robots

In Today's video we saw  that military created a robots that detected peoples actions and emotions. If the  head shook up and down , the human was happy. If the human's head  was tilted  the person was not in a good feeling.  Also, some robots were though about being used to kill enemies in combat.
 I think robots  shouldn't kill other humans but to do other useful things like medical attention.
One creation is a robot called "Big Dog" Its a mechanical robot.
This Robot can carry hundreds of pounds of weapons to soldiers. At also has perfect balance if it gets tried to get knocked down.

Living Machines Pt. 3

Today's Part of the 3rd documentary was about, a robot that scans face of someone and when its done scanning , it does the mood you're in.Next Goal of this creation is to give it a voice with moving mouth. Computer defeated best chess player in the world. This happened by doing specific movements. Also a guy, created a snake that is a robot. That Snake can walk or travel normally as if it was a regular snake.Guys studies the consequences of robotics o humanity. only humans  cann be able to relate to robots that have human life forms. Or else , they would just be aliens to humanity.

Robotics

The article i read about is about a robot that serves beer t the people. MIT team is trying to get three robots at a time to help eachother out to serve to more than one person at a time. This robots are called "Beerbot. One  serves the beer and   other robots  come to pick the beer up and serve it to the people in offices of the work company. Robots Are programed to go to a certain room first and do what they need to. After that they take beers or drinks to whoever they're supposed to. MIT is trying to  fix sensor so accidents don't happen. Some inccidents that have happened are dropped items and liquids. Robots were unable to catch signal from serving robots . This caused them to go back to where they belong instead of going to pick some more beer up to serve. This is the article belos from what I've read.
